Merchant guide

Run your store, end to end

Everything a business needs to set up and run its store — storefront, catalog, selling, and content. Written for store owners, staff, and the team supporting them.

Getting started

  1. Sign up and complete onboarding — business name, category, and country. This sets your currency and recommended payment processor.
  2. You land in the Dashboard. The left sidebar is your home base.

The main areas:

  • Orders — orders, POS, fulfillment
  • Products — products, categories, collections, gift cards, media library
  • Customers — accounts and segments
  • Marketing — collections, blog, discounts, forms, reviews
  • Point of Sale — the in-store register
  • Online Store, Analytics, Locations, Settings

Online Store → Themes

Customizing your storefront

The theme editor is where you design your online store — no code required. Open it from Online Store → Themes → Customize.

It has three parts:

  • Left — Sections list: the building blocks of the current page, in order.
  • Center — Live preview: your store as it will look, updating as you edit.
  • Right — Settings panel: options for whatever you've selected.

Every change saves automatically to a draft. Nothing is visible to shoppers until you press Publish.

The basics

Selecting and editing

Click a section in the left list or click it directly in the preview — the right panel shows its settings. You can also click text in the preview and type to edit it in place.

Edit vs Preview mode. While editing, clicking something selects it (so you can edit a button without being taken to its link). To click through your store like a shopper, press Preview (top right) for a full-width view with a "Preview mode" banner — press Exit preview to return to editing.

Undo, save, publish

  • Undo / Redo — top bar, or ⌘Z / ⌘⇧Z.
  • Saved indicator — your draft autosaves ("Saving…" then "Saved").
  • Publish — pushes the current page's draft live. Publish each page you changed.
  • Desktop / mobile — the monitor and phone icons preview each device.

Sections & blocks

Sections are the horizontal building blocks of a page — a hero banner, a featured-products row, a newsletter sign-up.

  • Add a section opens a searchable gallery. App-provided sections are badged App.
  • Reorder by dragging or the ▲▼ buttons; duplicate, hide, rename, delete on hover.

Some sections contain blocks — repeatable items you add inside them (hero slides, icon-grid items, Custom-content elements). Select the section, then use the Blocks area to add, reorder, or remove them.

Section settings

  • Text / Heading — plain text.
  • Rich text — a formatting toolbar (bold, italic, lists, links).
  • Image — opens your Media library to pick or upload.
  • Link — pick a destination, or use Link to: Product / Collection / Blog to search for a specific item; or a custom URL.
  • Product / Collection — search for and feature a specific item.
  • Color scheme — see below.

Theme settings

Click Theme settings (bottom of the left list) for store-wide options:

  • Colors — accent, text, background, muted.
  • Color schemes — reusable palettes (below).
  • Typography — Heading and Body font, from a built-in library. Pick one and your store loads and applies it everywhere.
  • Layout → Corner radius — the roundness of buttons, cards, and inputs across the whole store.
  • Content — announcement bar, logo, footer text.

Color schemes

Reusable palettes you apply per section — great for alternating light and dark bands down a page.

  1. In Theme settings → Color schemes, edit a scheme's Background / Text / Accent / Muted colors, rename it, or add one.
  2. Select any section and set its Color scheme dropdown. The section adopts that palette instantly. "Inherit" uses the page default.

Header & footer

Choose Header or Footer from the template switcher. The header lets you manage menu links, toggle the search / account / cart icons on or off, and optionally show text labels next to them.

Pages & templates

Use the template switcher (top left) to move between pages: Home, Product, Collection, Blog, and more.

Custom pages

Press + Page to create a content page (e.g. "About us"). Design it with sections; it goes live at /pages/your-title.

Multiple templates per product or collection

  1. Press + Template → choose Product or Collection, name it (e.g. sale), and create it. It appears under Template variants to design separately.
  2. Assign it on a product (or collection) → Theme template → choose your template. Everything else keeps the default.

Publishing checklist

  1. Review each page in Preview mode.
  2. Check it on mobile.
  3. Press Publish on every page you changed.

Products → All products

Products & variants

Manage what you sell, from a single item to products with many options.

Add or edit a product

  • Basic information — name, SKU, category. The web address (handle) comes from the name.
  • Pricing — Retail price (what shoppers pay) and Supplier price (your cost).
  • Description — a rich-text editor.
  • Images / Media — upload or pick from the Media library.
  • SEO — optional meta title and description.
  • Theme template — if you created product template variants, choose which one this product uses.

Options & variants

Define options (Size, Color) and the platform builds the variants. Each variant can have its own SKU, price, image, and stock.

Stock & availability

Stock is tracked per location; your inventory mode decides whether online and in-store stock are shared or separate. A product can be sold online, in-store, or both — and on retail, wholesale, or both channels.

Products → Collections

Collections & categories

Group products for merchandising — a "Summer sale" or "Under $25" row you feature on your store.

Create a collection

  • Manual — you hand-pick the products.
  • Smart — products join automatically by rules (e.g. tag contains "sale"). Choose whether they match all or any conditions; a live count shows how many match.

Set the title, description, sort order, and whether it's published. If you made collection template variants, pick one under Theme template.

Categories vs collections

Categories are a product's primary classification (one each). Collections are flexible groups (a product can be in many). Organize with categories; market with collections.

Wholesale / B2B

Trade pricing for approved customers

Approved trade customers sign in and shop at special pricing — a separate B2B storefront on top of your retail store.

Wholesale is a plan feature. If you don't see it, it isn't enabled for your store.

How pricing works

  1. Base quantity breaks (per product) — buy more, pay less.
  2. Customer tiers — a percentage off for who the customer is (e.g. "Gold = 15% off").
  3. They compose: a Gold customer buying 10 gets the quantity-break price, then their tier discount on top.

Setting it up

  1. Create tiers on the Wholesale Tiers page and set each % off.
  2. Set product pricing — add quantity breaks and wholesale availability in each product.
  3. Approve customers on the Wholesale Requests page and assign a tier. They're emailed when approved.

Approved customers see a dedicated Wholesale area; everyone else sees a gate to sign in or apply. Design both in the theme editor ("Wholesale home" / "Wholesale gate"). Only approved, signed-in customers ever see wholesale prices.

Orders & Point of Sale

Orders, POS & fulfillment

Process online orders and sell in person from one place.

Online orders

Orders appear under Orders. Open one to see items, customer, totals, and payment/fulfillment status, and to fulfill or refund.

Point of Sale

The in-store register: add products, take payment (card via your connected reader, or cash), and complete the sale — recorded alongside online orders. It has Classic and Modern layouts.

Fulfillment

Each order has a fulfillment that moves through New → Packing → Ready → Shipped (or Out for delivery → Delivered for local delivery). Walk it with Start / Mark ready, or skip straight to shipping by buying a label. Every fulfillment shows the location it ships from — set each location's ship-from address under Locations.

Buying a shipping label

With a carrier connected (Settings → Shipping), click Buy label — from New, Packing, or Ready, no need to mark it ready first. Enter the parcel size, pick a rate, and buy. Buying the label ships the order in one step: the fulfillment moves to Shipped and the customer is automatically emailed their tracking. No separate "mark shipped" click.

A label can only be bought while the fulfillment is still open (New, Packing, or Ready). To fix a mistake, refund/void the label on the fulfillment, then buy a new one.

Ship part of an order (partial fulfillment)

You don't have to ship an order all at once. In the Buy label dialog, each line shows how many units are still to ship — untick a line or lower its quantity to ship only part now. The label ships just those items and emails tracking for that parcel; the order shows Partially shipped with each line marked "2 of 5 shipped". Buy another label later for the rest; when the last units ship, the order moves to Shipped. Mark shipped (manual) instead ships everything outstanding at once.

Manual tracking & local delivery

No carrier? Mark the order Ready, then Mark shipped and paste a carrier and tracking number by hand — the customer still gets the shipped email. For local delivery, assign a driver, then mark Out for delivery and Delivered. Inventory updates with each sale so online and in-store stock stay accurate.

Settings

Payments & settings

Connect a payment processor, set your currency, and configure shipping.

Payments

Connect Stripe, Clover, or PayPal for online payments, and an in-store reader for POS. Your recommended processor is suggested from your business category at signup. Follow the on-screen connection flow for your chosen processor.

You enter banking and processor credentials with the processor directly, during their secure connection flow — never share them over chat or email.

Currency, shipping & locations

Your currency is set from your country at signup and shown everywhere prices appear. Set checkout shipping rates and free-shipping thresholds (wholesale has its own). If you run multiple locations, manage them under Locations, and pick the inventory mode that matches how you operate.

Connect a shipping carrier (to buy labels)

To buy and print real labels from your orders, paste your own carrier/label provider API key under Settings → Shipping. Labels are bought on your account and billed to you — the platform never ships on your behalf. Once connected, buying a label ships the order and emails the customer tracking in one step.

Labels ship from your location's address. Under Locations, give each location a complete ship-from address (street, city, province/state, postal/ZIP, and a 2-letter country code like CA). Until it's complete, label rates for that location's orders can't be calculated.

Marketing → Blog

Blog

Publish articles to share news, stories, and SEO-friendly content.

A blog is a container (e.g. "News"); an article belongs to a blog and has a title, rich-text body, excerpt, author, image, tags, and publish date. Only published articles appear on your store.

Your blog lists at /blog, and each article has its own page. Add a "Blog posts" section in the theme editor to feature your latest articles on the home page. The blog, article, and blog-posts designs are all editable there.
